Are the candles clean?

All of our candles are made by us in small batches and are hand-poured with sustainable, non-GMO coconut wax that burns cleanly and slower than other waxes. They are infused with essential oils and clean fragrances with no dyes, parabens, toxins or phthalates. They are 100% vegan and of course cruelty-free. Our cotton wicks are lead and zinc free and our packaging is made with recycled material.

How do i burn the candles safely?

TRIM AND LIMIT. Trim the wick to 1/4 in. before each burn, and do not burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when 1/4 in. of unmelted wax remains. 

WATCH IT, PLACE IT & KEEP CLEAR. Always keep the wax pool free of all debris, and never leave your candle unattended. Keep your candle away from pets, children and anything that could be flammable. Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant and fireproof surface that is flat, sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep any lit candle away from drafts. And do not place candles too closely together as they can create their own draft and cause the candles to flare. 

SNUFF IT & BE CAREFUL. Always snuff your candle before you leave a lit candle. And be careful as the container may be hot and wax may splatter.

CONSULT. Consult your healthcare provider about using essential oils, particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have allergies, or have small children or pets at home.

how long does each candle burn?

Each candle is 10 oz and will burn 50+ hours.

We take all major credit cards. We also allow express checkout with ShopPay, ApplePay and GooglePay.

where do you ship?

We currently only ship within the US. You can sign up for our newsletter to be notified if this changes in the future.

when will my order ship?

All orders are processed within 24 hours.

what is the return policy?

We offer a refund on your candle that has been damaged in transit. If your candle arrives damaged, please email us with a photo of it to hello@thehousecandle.com within 14 days of receipt of your order. Your candle must be in its original packaging, unused and accompanied with an original receipt.
